Julie has over 20 years experience as a Registered Social Worker in the field of mental health. She has devoted her career to supporting individuals, couples, and families in addressing their challenges and achieving their therapy goals.
Julie’s counselling philosophy is grounded in the assumptions that every individual has strengths and resources, and everyone needs genuine caring relationships to live their best lives. However, the challenges and stressors in life can cause people to lose sight of their strengths and strain key relationships leaving them feeling alone, lost, confused, and overwhelmed. Julie’s clients can expect a safe, individualized, client-centered and collaborative counselling experience. She works from an attachment lens where relationship is key and she is guided by Family Systems, Solution-Focused, Cognitive Behavioural, Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness, and Synergetic Play Therapy frameworks.
Julie works with individuals 10 years and older, couples, and families. She also has a special interest in counselling related to fertility and adoption.”
