Psychiatric services are not open to the public. Services are available to Veterans and pre-approved specialty groups.
Dr. Jeff Buttle completed his medical training at Dalhousie University, then served in the Canadian Forces as a Medical Officer. Recognizing the acute need for mental health services, Dr. Buttle completed his residency in Psychiatry at the University of British Columbia and worked in private practice and in multiple addiction clinics in the lower mainland of BC. He is Board Certified with the American Board of Disability Analysts and has been working in the field of addiction and complex psychiatric disorders, including stress and trauma-related disorders for over 25 years. During his time in British Columbia Dr. Buttle worked with Deepak Chopra and Nirmala Raniga to create the Chopra Addiction Treatment and Wellness Centre in Paradise Valley, British Columbia where he served as Medical Director until 2014. Dr Buttle moved to Nova Scotia in 2016 and worked with general mental health at CFB Halifax from 2016- 2020 and at the Nova Scotia OSI clinic from 2017 to 2019. He is currently focused on helping veterans with complex psychiatric disorders.
