Archie is a graduate of Wilfrid Laurier University and has been drawn to create a space for couples and individuals to find balance and move beyond that which limits them.

Individual Therapy- in addition to treatment of emotional disorders including anxiety and depression, Archie specializes in the treatment of Trauma & PTSD. Archie possesses a certificate in Traumatic Stress Studies from the International Trauma Research Foundation as well as training in Cognitive Processing and Prolonged Exposure Therapy.

Couple Counselling– in his endeavour to support couples to restore balance Archie has undertaken study in two models of intervention- Archie thoughtfully considers which model is best suited for which couples and when to bring in techniques from one approach or another to help a couple find enhanced connection and balance.

  1. Externship in Emotionally Focused Couple Therapy- focusing on the science of attachment and the development of necessary skills to foster secure, resilient relationships.
  2. Gottman Method Couple Therapy (level II) – focusing on emotion, skill building for managing conflict, developing new skills for enhancing friendship, and helping couples create a system of shared meaning together.

Mindfulness Coach– empowering individuals to move beyond that which limits them is a passion of Archie’s. Restoring balance within our minds, bodies and relationships is but one part of our wellness journey. Through use of mindfulness & formal meditation practices Archie guides individuals toward enhanced meaning and wellness.
