Why should you go to therapy? Because life can be challenging and each of us can benefit from support along the wayI believe that therapy is an equal partnership between you as the client and me as the therapist. To facilitate change, we must work together. My role in this process is to listen to your story, learn about your strengths and empower you to build the life you desire. Your role in this process is to be vulnerable as you share your struggles, trust in yourself & the therapeutic process, and be ready to make changes.
I rely on a variety of evidence-based approaches to support my clients in achieving the outcomes that they seek. I consider the unique context of every client to understand how the work we do in session impacts their world. I understand how race, culture, religion and gender influence the experiences of each person and I account for this in my work with a client.
