Farzana Khimji

M.A., Psychotherapy Intern, Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) (Fluent in Gujarati)

Hello! I am Farzana, and I am thrilled to introduce myself as a passionate and empathetic Psychotherapy Intern on a mission to help individuals navigate their emotional journeys and support them through their struggles. I am dedicated to creating a safe, non-judgmental space for clients to explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences. Every client is unique and therefore deserves to be treated with appropriate interventions for their presenting concern.

I identify as a South Asian who immigrated from Kenya. Therefore, I value culturally diverse approaches in counselling that can be used to accommodate every client’s needs.

I am looking forward to and have always been eager to work with youths, adults and couples. I may utilize a variety of interventions, such as cognitive behavioral therapy, Gestalt therapy, narrative therapy and person-centered therapy. All these interventions can be used to work with clients who are experiencing stress, anxiety, depression and relational conflict. Outside my professional life, I enjoy going to the gym as a form of self-care. I am thrilled to start my psychotherapy journey and work with you to help you achieve your goals.
