Dr. Victoria Pitura is a Registered Psychologist who received her PhD from Lakehead University in 2019. She has experience conducting psychological assessment (e.g., psychodiagnostic and personality testing) and treatment with adults experiencing a variety of difficulties including mood and anxiety-related disorders (e.g., generalized anxiety, social anxiety, phobias, panic, OCD, etc.), post-traumatic stress, and chronic emotion dysregulation and self-harm. Her main modalities of treatment include Cognitive Behavioural (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment (ACT), and Dialectical-Behaviour Therapy (DBT). At NuVista, Dr. Pitura is currently focused on providing individual therapy and assessment (e.g., VAC Mental Health Disability assessments) to adults, including first responders (e.g., RCMP) and military personnel (e.g., DND and Veterans). She strives to take a nonjudgmental, client-centered, and evidence-based approach.
