Many clients come to therapy feeling as though their ability to cope has been stretched to its limits.
They find it difficult to imagine things could be different, and even harder to imagine them staying the same. With kindness, humor, and authenticity, I support clients to uncover inner resources and strengths that can help them gain effective ways to cope with and overcome issues. This work is grounded in the concept of radical self-acceptance which invites clients to challenge the patterns and voices that can keep us from living a full and authentic life. By creating a space that encourages personal expression and exploration, clients are supported to feel safe to engage with, and contend with the struggles that are limiting their lives.
I work from a person-centered approach that puts an emphasis on the fit of the therapeutic relationship. I believe that the success of the client’s therapeutic experience lies in the relationship between therapist and client. I aim to enhance the client experience by bringing security, trust and comfort to therapy, so that core level healing can be facilitated, and a client can learn how to be informed by their emotions rather than be used by them.
