To navigate difficult life experiences, people often develop patterns of thinking and behaving that are helpful in those difficult moments. When we keep using these patterns, they are often no longer helpful in day-to-day life. Together, we can work to uncover patterns that are no longer helping you thrive in your life and ways to start understanding and changing them. I use an attachment and trauma-focused approach to therapy to create a safe space where clients feel seen, heard, and accepted to start their therapy journey.
I take an evidence-based, collaborative, and integrative approach to therapy for each client. My training has focused on Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy (EFIT). I also draw from other approaches such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), and Mindfulness Therapy. I also continue to engage in professional education training to further develop skills in trauma-focused therapies and actively engage in consultation and supervision.
I believe that a strong therapeutic relationship facilitates well-being and offers support and empowerment to each client. I currently offer individual psychological services to adults facing a variety of challenges, including depression, anxiety, trauma, stress, and other life transitions. I look forward to working together on your journey.
