MSW, Clinical Social Worker
Laura Rodriguez is a Clinical Social Worker who has worked in the healthcare field with individuals, families, and communities. She graduated from Renison College with a Masters of Social Work in 2017. Her work experience has been supporting those living with complex chronic illness in community, facilitating support for hospital patients and assessment of seniors in the community. She joins our team to focus on her passion of supporting clients during their family-building journey, specifically during the perinatal period. She has completed the Perinatal Mood Disorders Components of Care training specifically designed to support those with anxiety and depression. Laura uses Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) with components of mindfulness to improve individuals’ and their families’ quality of life. She is also an advocate for informed choice decision-making, health equity and strives to decrease stigma around mental health challenges.
