Debbie’s clinical background includes working with children, adolescents, and adults in the areas of assessment, therapy, and consultation. Areas of therapeutic practice include anxiety, PTSD, depression, domestic violence, anger, workplace issues, trauma, and abuse. Areas of assessment currently include general psychological/diagnostic, eligibility for Veterans Affairs benefits, and assessments for military personnel. Debbie mainly uses Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), with aspects of Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) in her general practice. She uses Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR) in the treatment of trauma and abuse. Debbie is a Certified EMDR Therapist with the International Association of EMDR.
