Stephen Hendrixson is a registered psychologist who specializes in working with children and adolescents, including their families. After graduating from the American Psychological Association accredited Azusa Pacific University in California, Stephen initially worked in the California school system identifying learning disabilities, counseling junior and high school students, and providing a range of assessments for youth in his care. Following this rich experience, Stephen moved to Nova Scotia where he began working for the public health authority providing assessment and intervention for children with autism in the early intensive behavior intervention (EIBI) program / early autism team. Stephen then transitioned to outpatient mental health as a clinician on a child and adolescent team, including work on an eco-adventure team supporting families with mental health and addiction issues. Currently, Stephen holds a position with the health authority in addition to his private practice. Stephen regularly attends professional development seminars, keeping abreast of the most current and effective treatment and assessment modalities for youth available in his profession. Stephen has a warm, approachable personality and makes every effort to ensure the health and well-being of his clients.
