Rhonda McInnis received her masters in clinical psychology (M.Sc.) from Acadia University and is a licensed psychologist (Candidate Register) with the Nova Scotia Board of Examiners in Psychology. With over 20 years of experience as a psychology lab instructor at St. Francis Xavier University, Rhonda transitioned into clinical psychology to specialize in evidence-based therapy, assessment, and diagnosis. Rhonda provides therapeutic services to adults facing a variety of challenges, including depression, anxiety (such as social anxiety and phobias), chronic and acute stress, relationship difficulties, work burnout, trauma,  and personality disorders. Her therapeutic approach is grounded in evidence-based practices, integrating Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) for trauma and abuse. In her practice, Rhonda conducts comprehensive assessments and clinical diagnoses, as well as assessments for Veterans Affairs benefits eligibility. She is particularly dedicated to supporting diverse populations, including first responders, veterans and military personnel, individuals with disabilities, and members of the LGBTQIA+ community. Rhonda is committed to fostering a culturally safe and inclusive environment where all clients feel respected and supported.
