Patrick Bazinet

MSc, Registered Psychologist

Patrick Bazinet’s practice focuses on the assessment and treatment of mood, anxiety, and trauma-related disorders in adults. He utilizes a range of evidence-based therapy tools to create treatment plans that meet the unique needs of each client. He completed foundational training in Client-Centered and Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy at Acadia University and has added elements of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Dialectical-Behaviour Therapy to his clinical practice. He is also a certified provider of Cognitive Processing Therapy, a best practice for the treatment of PTSD. He believes that everyone can develop a capacity for Mindfulness, the ability to bring non-judgmental awareness to the present moment, to support their mental wellness. His assessments focus on identifying the unhelpful patterns and barriers that are preventing clients from experiencing optimal mental health, defining clear treatment goals, and providing diagnoses for a wide range of clinical disorders. Patrick has also worked extensively with Veterans and understands the challenges faced by those who have served in the Canadian Armed Forces.
