Irina has extensive clinical experience supporting individuals dealing with mild to severe mental health challenges (depression, anxiety, OCD, perinatal mood disorders, etc); trauma; grief/loss; Intimate Partner Violence; relationship challenges (including high conflict separation) as well as stress, anger management and emotional regulation. She works with teenagers, adults and seniors. Irina works from a collaborative, strength based, integrative approach that is trauma informed and influenced by Mindfulness, Narrative Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment therapy (ACT) and neuroscience. She is also well versed in Cognitive Behavioural and Dialectical Behavioral Therapies (CBT and DBT).
Irina integrates a variety of therapeutic modalities to ensure the best possible fit for her clients. She is deeply committed to helping individuals thrive in a culturally sensitive and collaborative manner that privileges their values, beliefs and lived experiences. Irina strives to facilitate her clients' process in becoming kind/compassionate and respectful towards themselves; recognizing barriers they may have faced and learning to acknowledge their agency and access their strengths, abilities and wisdom to make the changes they hope to make in their lives.
