Cassidy Lewis (she/her) graduated from Yorkville University in 2025 after completing her Master of Arts degree in counselling psychology. Cassidy also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in history and psychology from Acadia University, and an Advanced Diploma in Addictions Community Outreach from the Nova Scotia Community College.
Cassidy is a registered counselling therapist – Candidate with the Nova Scotia College of Counselling Therapists. Cassidy has experience in a variety of settings including outpatient addiction counselling with the Nova Scotia Health Authority and experience working in a group home setting for individuals with intellectual disabilities.
Cassidy’s current clinical interests include substance use disorders, trauma, and attachment-based concerns. Cassidy also has experience working with individuals with anxiety, depression, emotional regulation concerns, attachment-based trauma, and borderline personality disorder.
Cassidy strives to create a welcoming, non-judgmental environment for all her clients. She strives to meet her clients where they are at, providing a collaborative approach to therapy, as a way to help her clients meet their specific therapeutic needs.
Cassidy has experience using various evidence-based modalities such as motivational interviewing (MI), cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioural therapy (DBT) and somatic therapy.
