NuVista Mental Health, in partnership with True North Psychological Services, is expanding mental health treatment options in the Oromocto region with the launch of our new TMS program, and we are seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse to serve as our TMS Technician.

Job Description
We are looking for an experienced LPN to join our team and help provide evidence based treatments in our supportive, community environment. This role is ideal for someone passionate about mental health, comfortable wearing multiple hats, and enthusiastic about delivering high-quality, evidence-based care in a supportive clinical setting. A strong candidate will bring excellent organizational, communication, and listening skills, and a genuine commitment to client-centered care. This isn’t your typical LPN role, it’s multifaceted, engaging, and deeply rewarding.

Responsibilities
- Conduct rTMS treatments according to established protocols
- Perform qEEGs recordings
- Monitor patients during TMS and KAP sessions to ensure safety and efficacy
- Build rapport with clients and check-in regularly regarding mood and functioning
- Accurately document treatment sessions and flag any concerns to the clinical team
- Collaborate with psychiatrist, registered nurse, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
- Administer Ketamine and monitor clients undergoing Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP)
- Perform phlebotomy as needed
- Maintain medical inventory and assist with supply management
- Act as the primary support for the Registered Nurse, receiving and executing delegated clinical tasks
Other duties as required
This role is perfect for an RPN with a strong interest in mental health, neurostimulation, and cutting-edge therapies. Training will be provided on-site with ongoing feedback as needed to ensure you’re confident in delivering the above treatments. There is opportunity for growth, development and leadership responsibilities as your experience in the position progresses.
Qualifications
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) designation in good standing with the Association of New Brunswick Licensed Practical Nurses
- Professional liability insurance
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, thrives in a collaborative team environment
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience in mental health nursing
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Reliable, compassionate, and patient-centered
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, appropriate boundaries and adhere to ethical guidelines
- First Aid and CPR/AED Certification (Must be obtained prior to starting work)
- Previous experience with rTMS, qEEG or psychedelic-assisted therapy is a strong asset but is not required, full training will be provided on-site
