Information Technology Manager

At True North Psychological Services, in partnership with NUVISTA Mental Health, our mission is to provide a safe and supportive environment for clients, clinicians, and staff. We work closely with governmental agencies, organizations who assist veterans, military personnel, first responders and many other referral sources. However, our referrals are not limited to trauma-related challenges as we also work with adults, couples, families, and children facing a wide range of mental health and personal challenges. We regularly have a surplus of referrals and are eager to provide services to all in a timely fashion. Our clinicians are employed as independent contractors and have access to both a comprehensive benefits package and educational allowance. By joining our team, you will have the opportunity to work alongside mental health professionals, including Psychiatrists, Psychologists, Clinical Social Workers, and Licensed Clinical Therapists.

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Information Technology Manager! Working closely with the CFO and Leadership Team, you’ll own the day-to-day and strategic direction of NuVista’s IT environment, ensuring our technology is secure, compliant, and built to scale as we continue to grow throughout Canada.

You’ll oversee vendors, manage site-level networks, support our Microsoft 365 environment, and lead the integration of new acquisitions into our systems. This is a hands-on leadership role with a mix of technical depth and big-picture impact.

Responsibilities:

  • Be the internal go-to for desk-side and remote IT support
  • Oversee network infrastructure, site-level firewalls, and internet connectivity
  • Lead VoIP phone system selection, rollout, and ongoing management
  • Manage and optimize SharePoint, Teams, and Microsoft 365 environments
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare privacy and security standards (PHIPA, PIPEDA, HIPAA)
  • Coordinate with outsourced partners for security, helpdesk, and monitoring
  • Lead technology integration for new acquisitions and sites
  • Develop, maintain, and present an annual IT Roadmap outlining priorities, projects, risks, and investments aligned with organizational strategy
  • Contribute to long-term technology planning, budgets, and policy development

 

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

  • 7+ years of IT experience, including hands-on infrastructure and vendor management
  • Experience supporting Microsoft 365 / SharePoint and network environments
  • Knowledge of firewalls, VoIP systems, and healthcare data privacy
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, you can translate tech into business value
  • A balance of hands-on troubleshooting and strategic planning
  • Experience in healthcare or other regulated industries is a plus
