Ellen Maher

MSW, RSW, Clinical Social Worker

Ellen graduated from her Bachelor of Social Work in 2019 from Memorial University of Newfoundland and worked in the community sector with marginalized youth. This work was focused on harm reduction, crisis intervention, and navigating the complex social systems that can impact people’s mental health. 

 

From here, Ellen went on to Toronto provide social work services to individuals living with schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, complex PTSD, mood disorders, anxiety, and depression. Ellen has worked in several clinical settings offering therapeutic intervention to aid individuals in feeling safe and supported.

 

Having obtained her Master of Social Work from The University of Toronto, Ellen has come to focus on working with people from a trauma informed, compassionate, and client centred lens. She recognizes the resiliency in each person, and wants to form a meaningful connection with you, and work together to achieve your goals. 

 

Integrated modalities Ellen practices include: Mindfulness based CBT, DBT, ACT, and emotion focused therapy.
