Dr. Brian MacIsaac

Brian is a member of the Nova Scotia College of Counseling Therapists. Brian’s experience and training in Education/Administration, Law Enforcement, and Mental Health allows for our clinic to work with children, adolescents, adults, families, corporate clients, and government agencies. Brian has advanced training and experience with the identification and treatment of Emotional Behavioral Disorders (ADHD, Conduct Disorder, Oppositional Defiance Disorder), the development and provision of corporate educational/skill-based professional development, and key-person consultation.
My approach includes Cognitive/Dialectical that provides solution focused therapy to children-adults with various mental health/learning difficulties. Trained to diagnose (DSM-5) and formulate treatment protocols for broad range of mental health problems. Formal training and experience pertaining to co-morbidity of many mental health disorders, learning problems, development and provision of various educational/skill-based groups, public information/presentations, and consultations. Specialty training and experience in working with school-aged children/families, Trauma, Critical Incident Stress/Debriefing, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorders, Anxiety/Depression Care, and First Responders.
